In an email dated June 23, the Scottish Rite Northern Masonic Jurisdiction announced the body would join with Grand Lodge of New York in assisting the Brethren in war-torn Ukraine.
The email stated :
Sovereign Grand Commander Peter J. Samiec partnered the forces of the Scottish Rite, NMJ with the Grand Lodge of New York (GLNY) to provide relief to our distressed Brothers in Ukraine.
As eloquently expressed by Brother Richard T. Schultz on behalf of Grand Master, Most Worshipful Richard J. Kessler, “Can we stretch our cable-tow a little bit more towards helping our fellow brethren and members of the human family? The answer is a resounding yes, with the help of good brothers such as yourself and the Scottish Rite who continue to act in a positive way for the relief of the distressed.”
Take a moment to be proud of the work we do as Scottish Rite Masons for our Brothers in need, and keep our Ukrainian Brothers close in our hearts and in our prayers.
