Injuries at Shrine circus

YouTube player
Six children and one adult were injured when a camel “Got spooked” during an intermission at a Shrine Circus hosted by Syria Shrine temple at the PPG Paint Arena in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania according to several media accounts.

According to the article, five children were thrown from the camel during an intermission of the show around 3:30 in the afternoon. Animal handlers got the camel under control in about 11 seconds and EMS personnel who were standing by took the children to the hospital by ambulance.  The children were treated for minor injuries which included a flattered arm.

Of course, PETA who has been harrassingShrie circuses across the country for years issued a statement, which I am not going to bother to include here.  None of the animals at the circus were harmed during this incident.
