The Detroit Free Press has reported that concert promotion company AEG Presents will assume day to day operations of the auditorium and theatre of the Detroit Masonic Temple.
AEG and the temple have entered into a multi-year agreement in which AEG will devote up to two million dollars over the next two years to renovate both the 4,000 seat Masonic Theatre and the 1,586-capacity Cathedral Theatre.
AEG has been using the venue for several years, but until now the operations of the 93-year-old venues such as security and the ticket office were operated by the Temple association.
