Rise and Shrine Coffee

In today’s Freemasonry, the old ways of fundraising like fish fries or pancake breakfasts just don’t seem to be the money makers they once were. (If they actually ever were actual money makers)

From low carb dieting to the lack of interest in spending weekends battering or frying fish or flipping a flapjack just don’t cut in in the new millennium.  At best in most cases, these endeavors will break even.  Masonic organizations are looking for new and better ways of raising money for their lodges and charity endeavors.

One lodge in Milford, Massachusetts began to grind and sell their own brand of coffee as a fundraiser called Brothers blend coffee. Now the Shriners have thrown their fez into the coffee business.

Shriners Hospitals for Children has teamed up with Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company® to produce the new Rise and Shrine blend. The proceeds of this specialty coffee benefit Shriners Hospitals.

According to the news release ” Rise and shine coffee is a new specialty blend coffee that helps support the health care system. With every 1-pound bag purchased of this medium roast, smooth and hearty blend of freshly roasted Arabica beans, $1 will be donated to Shriners Hospitals for Children.
